FAQS
Do you accept insurance?
I do not bill insurance directly. However, I provide superbills for clients, which you can submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. I’m happy to answer questions about this process and guide you in using your insurance benefits when possible. Scroll down and click on FEES/POLICIES to learn more.
Do you see clients in person, Telehealth, or both?
Yes, I offer secure virtual (Telehealth) sessions, allowing you to attend therapy from the comfort of your own home. Telehealth can be just as effective as in-person counseling and offers greater flexibility for busy schedules. I see clients in person and telehealth in IL. I see clients who reside in California Telehealth only.
What can I expect?
Your first session is a chance to get to know each other. It provides apportunity to discuss and assess what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and answer any questions, concerns you may have. There is no expectation to share everything at once-therapy moves at your pace. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, heard, and supported.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious or simply wanting more clarity or support, therapy can help. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counseling. Many people come to therapy to better understand themselves and learn healthier coping tools.
How long are sessions and how often do we meet?
Therapy sessions typically last around 50 minutes. Frequency varies based on your needs. Some clients meet weekly, while others prefer bi-weekly sessions. We’ll work together to find a schedule that feels supportive and sustainable for you.
